Northern England
RSST is developing a partnership with Northern Red Squirrels, an excellent red squirrel conservation group covering Cumbria and Northumberland. Northern Red Squirrels brings together over 40 voluntary groups working to protect red squirrels in the area, ensuring that local activities are well co-ordinated.

North Wales
RSST endorse the work of Friends of the Anglesey Red Squirrels and Menter Môn on Anglesey in North Wales.

In the past few years these groups have managed to turn around the fortunes of the island’s red squirrel population. Thanks to their hard work trapping and culling greys, in the past decade the red squirrel population has grown exponentially. It is now estimated that there are some 300+ red squirrels on Anglesey, compared with a population of just 40 in 1998.
