The Squirrel's Pantry Tea Room in Cockermouth, Cumbria has published a recipe book in aid of Allerdale Red Squirrel Group.

The Squirrel's Pantry is a Victorian tea room which has a red squirrel sighting section. The red squirrel theme was started by the former proprieter of the tea room, Susan Southworth, a volunteer with the Allerdale Red Squirrel Group.

The current owner, Janet Watson, came up with the idea for the book in response to overwhelming customer demand. The book contains 45 recipes, photographs and interesting red squirrel facts. Some of the recipes are dishes that are served in the tea room and others are contributions from red squirrel volunteers. The book costs £5 and Janet and Susan hope to raise £3,500 for the Allerdale Red Squirrel Group.
